Legal hallucinogens and other psychoactive drugs

There are three broad categories of legal hallucinogens: psychedelics, deliriants and dissociatives. Some of these hallucinogens are legal and often cause changes in perception, emotion, consciousness and thought. Legal hallucinogens are known also as psychoactive drugs because of the nature of the effects they produce.

Despite of the fact that they are called "hallucinogens", they don't cause hallucination. Not at all. What you experience after legal hallucinogen use is just a change of the regular perception. So even if you're not in a good shape or mood, hallucinogens will make you feel happy.

All these legal hallucinogens have been used in the ancient times. Not only in the medicine - they are part of the religious traditions over the globe. So it's somehow strange that some of these hallucinogens are prohibited today. However some countries like Australia and New Zealand still allow the recreational, spiritual, and medical use of hallucinogens as well as different kinds of ecstasy and legal highs.
